My name is Mick Hutton (aka Guitar Grandad, and I have been coaching Guitar, Ukulele & Music Tech for over 40 years.
"My mission is to empower beginners and aspiring players to find joy and confidence in music. Through patient, personalised guitar, ukulele & Music Tech coaching, I help students overcome challenges, break through barriers, and discover the freedom to play with ease. Every lesson is about building skills, solving problems, and nurturing a lifelong love for music."

When I speak about my musical pursuits, I still tell the story of auditioning for a band, not knowing any songs and handing you the burden of teaching me a sets worth of songs in a few months! I often look back on where I came from and who the major influences were in my life, and you are among them.
Having started my guitar journey some years ago via "You Tube" videos, sourced from online guitar tutors. I came to the conclusion that I was not progressing as much as I would have liked, and was basically stuck with no-where to go, I really needed individual instruction. On checking my local area no guitar tutors could be located, so back to the internet where I came across "Guitar Grandad" and Mick. I have never looked back, with his guidance and patience, and choice of songs to play to keep me interested, and also to push me I have improved immensely, motivation has returned and picking up the guitar is no longer a chore, with an improved desire to learn and practise whenever the opportunity arises. thank you Mick
